Verdant Thorn Damascus Katana – Green Saya & Copper Tsuba

The Verdant Thorn is a hand-forged layered Damascus steel katana with a deep-green wooden saya and a flower-engraved copper tsuba. Its blade is forged in Bizen Osafune, Setouchi, Okayama, Japan, then sent to our Longquan workshop in China for mounting production and final assembly.

Hand-Forged Layered Damascus Steel Blade

This is genuine multilayer forge-welded Damascus steel, not a surface-printed or etched imitation. Repeated forging develops the blade’s visible layered pattern, so its appearance varies naturally from blade to blade.

Forged in Bizen Osafune, Assembled in Longquan

The blade is hand-forged in Bizen Osafune, Japan. It is then sent to our Longquan workshop, where the sword mountings are produced and the finished katana is assembled and inspected.

Green Saya and Flower-Engraved Copper Tsuba

The polished green saya is made from wood that has been stored and seasoned for six years. A flower-engraved copper tsuba complements the green-and-gold mounting design and the flowing layered pattern of the Damascus blade.

Sharp and Dull Options

The SHARP and DULL versions use the same multilayer Damascus steel and the same oil-quench heat treatment. Their difference is the final edge condition.
