The Pioneer Tactical Katana combines a hand-forged high-carbon steel blade with a genuine gray titanium protective coating, a riveted G10 handle, and a high-strength composite sheath. The blade is forged in Bizen Osafune, Setouchi, Okayama, Japan, then sent to our Longquan workshop in China for mounting production and final assembly.
The high-carbon steel blade receives oil quenching and tempering, followed by a genuine titanium protective coating. The coating improves surface wear and corrosion resistance, but normal cleaning, drying, and maintenance are still recommended.
The blade is hand-forged in Bizen Osafune, Japan. The fittings are produced and the completed sword is assembled at our Longquan workshop in China.
The modern G10 handle uses riveted fastening for a secure, low-maintenance construction. The tsuba is made from 440C stainless steel and finished with a PVD coating.
The black sheath uses an industrial high-strength composite body with a sandblasted, anodized surface treatment. Its restrained matte appearance complements the gray blade and tactical mounting design.
Sharpened and unsharpened configurations are produced at the same price. Both use the same high-carbon steel, titanium coating, heat treatment, dimensions, and mountings; the only difference is the final edge condition.

No coating makes a high-carbon steel blade completely maintenance-free. Keep the blade clean and dry and follow normal sword-care practices.

I'm really interested in swords with modern designs, so I bought this one the moment I saw it without much hesitation. Although I'm not a hero patrolling the streets of Gotham at night (lol), this sword is definitely solid. It looks even better in person than it does in the photos. I'm very satisfied with everything from the quality of the scabbard to the details on the handle. The blade is sharp and feels like it could easily slice through tree branches. It has a good amount of weight and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. If you swing it properly, you can even hear a distinct 'whoosh' sound. It's a really cool sword, slightly heavier than I expected, but that’s definitely not a downside.
